International Coaching Course Graduation Ceremony
On November 28, 2024, the Hungarian University of Sports Science (TF) proudly hosted the Graduation Ceremony for the International Coaching Course (ICC), which was a milestone event that celebrated the achievements of 19 exceptional students representing 17 countries across four continents and specializing in 10 different Olympic sports disciplines.
The ICC is a globally renowned program, supported by the IOC Olympic Solidarity, which aims to develop sports professionals with the skills, knowledge, and international perspective needed to excel in today’s evolving sports industry. HUSS extends its heartfelt gratitude to IOC Olympic Solidarity for its vital role in empowering these students and supporting the program’s mission to strengthen global sports leadership.
The ceremony was graced by representatives from various diplomatic missions, esteemed faculty members, and special guests, reflecting the truly international nature of the program. The Hungarian University of Sports Science (TF) was represented by Dr habil. Ákos Cserny, Vice-Rector for Education, Dr Csaba Ökrös, Vice-Rector for General Affairs, and Denissza Blanár, International Relation Director.
The ceremony was formally inaugurated by Nóra Széles, International Training Coordinator, who welcomed attendees with an inspiring opening address, setting a celebratory and reflective tone for the event. Dr Csaba Ökrös delivered an inspiring keynote speech, commending the graduates for their perseverance, adaptability, and dedication throughout their journey. He emphasized the importance of their achievements not only for their personal growth but also for the global sports community.
Following this, Denissza Blanár shared a thoughtful and reflective speech, highlighting the critical role of education, collaboration, and innovation in shaping the future of sports. She emphasized how the ICC serves as a bridge between diverse cultures, fostering mutual understanding and the exchange of ideas, which are essential for progress in the modern sports industry.
A highlight of the event was the premiere of “Highlights of ICC Fall Semester 2024,” a video capturing the semester’s most memorable moments, showcasing the diversity, determination and camaraderie of this international cohort.
The graduates, each of them specializing in a unique sport, embody the program’s values of inclusivity, excellence and global collaboration.
