Chinese Sports Minister visits Hungarian Olympic Committee on HUSS campus

A high-level governmental and sports diplomacy meeting was organised at the headquarters of the Hungarian Olympic Committee with the participation of the Hungarian University of Sports Science (TF) led by Chinese Sports Minister Gao Zhidan, President of the Chinese Olympic Committee.

The meeting took place after Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and Chinese President Xi Jinping had earlier called for closer sports cooperation between the two countries. The meeting was also attended by Tamás Sterbenz, Rector of the Hungarian University of Sports Science.

The university has an excellent cooperation with the Hungarian Olympic Committee, and the rector offered the same cooperation in sports science and sports to the Chinese side.

Among the possibilities of cooperation, the parties discussed the links between the successful Hungarian sports and table tennis from the Chinese side, joint training camps, exchange of experts and university education.
